A FEW THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT ME
MENTAL HEALTH ADVOCATE, HYPE GIRL, PASSIONATE PURSUER OF JESUS
HEY, I'M MELISSA
I am not who I used to be... The enemy has done everything in his power to keep me silent, insecure, anxious, and living as a victim. He may have tried to take me out, but God has given me authority and a testimony to give hope to others who are struggling with shame.
I am passionate about helping others find their way back to God and the church. We are to be the hands & feet of Jesus and those who feel like outcasts & misfits God will use the most.
I love authentic conversations about what's really going on and deeply dislike small talk.
MY STORY
I've spent years trying to overcome and escape the hard seasons of my life. I've been the hardest worker in the room, the one that volunteers for everything, and yet, also, the girl who couldn't get out of bed because depression and anxiety had me paralyzed and overwhelmed.
{I've also chosen food for comfort and binged every season of reality TV while I've wallowed in self-pity feeling sorry for myself.}
And, sadly, I put all of this in front of my marriage, my family, and my faith until God let me fall flat on my face. After a 'come to Jesus' moment, I finally started leaning on Him for peace, rest, and rescue.
Fast forward twelve years and I am now a Christian life and business coach who loves helping ambitious women lean into Jesus, grow their faith, and heal from the underlying struggles that have them using work and achievements to cope.
WHAT'S IT LIKE TO WORK WITH ME
Through working together, I provide support, guidance, and prayer as my clients learn to lean into the uncomfortable. I become the biggest cheerleader as things once seen as obstacles and impossible become doable and done.
My superpowers include encouraging you to believe in yourself and knowing what you are thinking before you ever say it.
MY VALUES
Authenticity & courage is super important to me. Sometimes we lie to ourselves and don't know it because it's how we have learned to cope through trauma. But, other times, we know and are too scared to acknowledge what is really going on because of shame, fear, and judgement.
We can't fix what we can't face. I promise to never ask for more than what I'm willing to give. And, I will fight for you in prayer when you are too weak to fight for yourself.
